Dear Student,

Welcome to the Deanship of Admission and Registration’s website. The website is an essential guide to all students from the start until graduation. It provides all information of colleges, majors, and programs in the University. It lists admission and registration requirements and university bylaws in addition to many other resources that aid you in your academic journey at the University.

Deanship of Admission and Registration seeks to transform into a completely online portal in accordance with the 2030 vision, by ensuring ease of accessing information and smooth interaction of services for students and colleges alike. Digital transformation of all units in the Deanship is priority for all beneficiaries. As a result, all students’ services that are offered by the Deanship are fully automated at present.

At the Deanship, our goal is to raise students' awareness of their status and academic progress by proving academic advisory in accordance with the university message and the students' goals and their academic ambitions.

DEANSHIP OF ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION TO THE UBT

Deanship of admission and registration at the University of Business and technology is the student's gateway to university, which is concerned with its educational affairs since joining its academic program until graduation, and the deanship of admissions and registration was established with the beginning of the university in 2012, and the deanship has since worked to develop Its work and its mandated tasks to match the steady increase in the numbers of students, taking advantage of computer techniques in tuning all its operations and services to university students according to the university's vision of leadership, performance and quality in its field of competence. The deanship has made exemplary strides in making use of the services of the information Technology Centre in this area where admission, registration and all other academic services entrusted to the deanship have been made through the Internet.

Registration Procedures

  • Student must be regular (active) or new (fulfilled all the admission requirements including the English language) to be able to use the online registration system.
  • Students’ GPA must be at least 2.0 out of 5.0 during the registration period.
  • Pay all the pending financial dues for the previous semesters.
  • Contact the expected graduates to fill the form of “graduation request” with a copy of the Passport attached to update his/her name in the system (OPERA) according to the name in the passport.
  • After the completion of all the graduation requirements of the expected graduates by monitoring their final grade mark , their academic status is changed to “pending" through the online system (OPERA).
  • Student GPA is calculated and his/her status is changed to “Approved”
  • Send the final list of all of the graduating students who have completed all the requirements of the subjects successfully to the competent colleges for review and authorizing their graduation, and changing their academic status to (Graduated).
  • Print and prepare certificates and transcripts according to the accredited graduates list.
  • Coordination with the students graduating to receive the certificates and transcripts, along with all original documents in their official academic files , after attending and signing the release form of the parties of all the relevant authorities in the university.
  • The process of Signing the official documents of the graduates is done by the end of every Gregorian month.
  • Provide the secretariat of the university council with the lists of actual graduates from all the accredited original list.

Registration Processes


Signing in to Opera online system
  • Entering the university’s website (www.ubt.edu.sa).
  • Click on (E- services)
  • Click on (Opera online)
  • Choose the college
  • Enter the username and password (Given by the admission department) Click on (Registration)
The registration screen will include the following icons:
  • (Course list) the suggested courses according to the student’s academic plan.
  • (Add course) the page for choosing the course
  • (Drop course) deleting the course
  • (Swap section) transferring to another section for the same course.
  • (Swap course) exchanging between two courses
  • (Withdraw course) quit the course

Instructions for Registering Courses

  • Extra fees will be issued for (drop course , swap section , swap course) during the late registration period .
  • During every registration students must make sure they reach the confirmation page.
  • During any process of registration , dropping , swapping section or course the operation fees will appear before the confirmation page.
  • It is essential to refer to the academic calendar for the adding and dropping periods by entering the university website (www.ubt.edu.sa) then clicking on the calendar icon and choosing the semester.

UBT COLLEGES

Graduation Unit

  • Choose graduation request. 
  • Upload a copy of the ID and passport to the request.
  • The request is reviewed and approval of the completed application is given 
  • After obtaining approval for the graduation request, the student must apply for a graduation release.
  • After reviewing and checking the graduation release by the concerned departments and obtaining approvals, the student's status will be transferred to a graduate.
