The bachelor’s in advertising creative design program (ACRD) offers a specialized practice-based education and prepares students to hold creative positions within the communication industry occupying the roles (but not only) as:


Art Directors

Creative Copywriting specialists 

Creative Directors

Commissioning directions

Designers for Print, web, mobile platforms

Art buying

Wider roles employing creative and production skills across industries linked to advertising, publishing and media generally.

The Advertising Creative Design program courses enrich the students’ knowledge in more than one area of this domain and provide them with adequate skills for visual communication professions. These include media production, writing, and editing, creative advertising courses in addition to a series of software skills courses for a total of 131 credit hours.

Graduates will be competent and competitive in many public and private-sector advertising and advertising   related roles. Students will have been expected to develop an understanding and skills in concept development, visualizing, design for production and contexts for contemporary Middle East and global advertising practices.

Graduates will be expected to become specialists in the practices of current online and offline media, to support the delivery of a multimedia advertising campaign.

Graduates will understand art and design and master communication skills to conceptualize, produce and present an advertising campaign, from concept to production of final artwork.


Objectives

The program’s goals are:
To provide an inspiring, creative, collaborative and student-centered learning environment that increases students’ design awareness and strengthen their creativity and innovation through research and experiential learning activities.
To produce knowledgeable, competent, and adaptable graduates to enter the field of Creative Advertising industry as talented and skilled professionals in the field of art direction and copywriting, creative direction and media production.
To create tighter links with local and international key industry players, through collaborative projects, continuous training and exchange of competencies.
To promote, integrate and embrace state of the art technology as a way to keep pace with the ever- evolving Advertising industry.
Foster community partnerships.

Mission

The program’s mission is to develop leading professionals for the communication industry by empowering graduates with design knowledge and skills developed through high quality creative education and research aligned with national and international standards serving the needs of the industry and  the community.

REQUIREMENTS PROGRAM

UBT’s Requirements Program consists of non-credited courses and English courses aimed at improving students’ language proficiency before they begin their undergraduate studies, as well as to develop and improve students’ knowledge of mathematical and analytical techniques through the medium of English Language.
