OVERVIEW

A firm’s greatest strength is its people. Thus, the performance of employees is vital to the organization’s success - without a competent workforce, the organization is set up to failure. In view of this, the Human Resources Management (HRM) program recognizes the importance of the professional skills and knowledge necessary for Human Resources (HR) graduates to excel in their future careers.

Accordingly, the program’s main aim is to develop students’ appreciation of the significance of Human Resource strategies for various firms. Furthermore, the program encompasses other areas relevant to the field of Human Resources such as leadership, negotiation, Change management, and performance management. In addition, The HRM curriculum at the CBA is aligned with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) which is the world’s largest HR professional society, as well as the Human Resource Certificate Institute (HRCI), which certifications are the most recognized and trusted by HR professionals and organizations across the world.

Objectives

  • Deliver to the student the essentials and definitions of Human Resources Management and explain the impact of advanced tools and technology in the development of this field.
  • Provide practical exposure to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to manage the performance of Human Resources in the business sector.
  • Prepare the student with adequate skills engage students in projects and activities to practice Human Resources Management in a competitive environment and enhance their creativity.
  • Assist students to improve communication skills encourage team work spirit and develop the ability to analyze and solve problems and develop the intellectual skills and ability.
  • Provide the student with the necessary background in Human Resources Management and administrative sciences which prepares the student for higher studies & work environment

HUMAN RESOURCE PLAN

It is critical for students to follow the program plan during its different semesters because it is designed to prepare the students in each stage to completely benefit from the subsequent stages. It is also crucial for the student to meet his/ her academic advisor and follow the study plan of his/ major closely. Ideally, this includes taking the lower level courses in the first and second year, attaining as much of the general education as possible, and then proceeding to take the major courses and possibly some minor courses.
