Architectural Program OVERVIEW
- Architectural program is educating the next generation of architects who will create buildings of tomorrow that work effectively and efficiently, making sure they are functionally sound, provide environmental comfort to occupants in all seasons.
- Architectural Engineering program educates students in an environment built through interdisciplinary courses & projects.
- Students must complete a total of 163 credit hours plus 2 hours of summer/ field training (total 165 h.).
- The Department of Architectural Engineering offers 3 tracks: Construction, Lighting/ Electrical & Mechanical.
Architecture Engineering Department will acquire a good regional reputation in the graduation of leaders who will contribute effectively to the development of society.
The mission of the Architecture Department is to serve as a leading national and international studio-based program in the art and science of architecture that is responsive to the most important social, environmental, technological, and cultural challenges of the twenty-first century, and to achieve excellence in teaching, research, design, outreach, advising, and service to society.
The program leads to the Bachelor of Architecture degree, accredited by national and international professional accreditation agencies, aims to primarily educate undergraduate students in the discipline of architecture and to prepare them for a creative engagement in the practice of architecture and related fields. Additionally, it aims to provide an educational environment that encourages the cross-fertilization of knowledge and experimentation from all of the arts and sciences, where students and teachers are motivated to participate in contemporary social, cultural technological and environmental issues.
