History
The Deanship of Scientific Research was established in 2013 as a Research and Consultation Center at the University of Business and Technology. Through the implementation of new strategies, the Center evolved into a Deanship in 2017. UBT transformed from a teaching-based university to a teaching and research-based university promoting scientific innovation and research.

On behalf of the Deanship of Scientific Research team at the University of Business and Technology, I would like to welcome you to our research website, displaying the University’s research structure, activities, and plans, as well as research laboratories, cutting-edge studios and conference facilities and support services. The Research and Consultancy Center of the University was established in 2013; it has undergone evolution and growth to become in 2017 the Deanship of Scientific Research (DSR). With this strategic change, the University was transformed from a teaching-based university to a teaching and research university, promoting applied research and scientific innovation. It gives me pride and pleasure to be associated with high caliber researchers across five Research Centers from all the University’s Deanships, organized in 18 Research Hubs. I am particularly proud to point out that our researchers are undertaking novel research in collaboration with internationally reputed academics and publishing in high-ranking academic journals. Their applied research is addressing issues that have social, economic, and environmental impacts. It is focused on serving society, improving the lived environment, and contributing to building the Kingdom’s knowledge economy. The University’s research vision and mission are guided by ‘Saudi Vision 2030’ and the strategic goals of the Kingdom’s plan.
