Overview
Dr. Abdulrahman Alansari joined the UBT ME Department as an
Assistant Professor in Spring 2021. He gained a Ph.D. in Engineering and
Industrial Applied Mathematics from Claremont Graduate University in 2019. He
was a lecturer at the California State University-Long Beach CECEM Department from
2016-2019. He holds a BS in Mechanical
Engineering from KFUPM (1998), and MS in Engineering Management from CSUN (2013).
He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Saudi Electricity
Company, Jeddah in Power Generation Projects for 11 years.
Dr. Alansari's research interest is on using emerging
information technologies to improve project design and Manufacturing.

- Senior Project Engineer for Power Generation Projects (Jan 08-Oct 10) Saudi Electricity Company, Jeddah, Saudi Arabi Performing engineering analysis, studies and developing conceptual designs. Providing technical evaluation of contract project bids. Assisting in finalize contract project specifications. Providing technical support to other departments.
- Project Engineer for Power Generation Projects (Jan 05-Dec 07) Saudi Electricity Company, Shoaiba, Saudi Arabia Managing contractor preparation of detailed design drawings, material specifications, procurement, and construction packages. Ensuring that project is executed in compliance with the project contract requirements i.e. scope of work, schedule, cost, HSE, company standards and procedures. Managing conflicts to ensure that projects conform to the expectations. Reviewing and approving project execution plans, test packages, and factory inspections for major equipment
- Field Engineer - Saudi Electricity Company, (Aug 99-Dec 04) Shoaiba, Saudi Arabia Monitoring and supervising mechanical erection for boiler and balance of plant. Assisting with project closeout and turnover of deliverable to end user. Evaluating technical reports and design modification requests.
