CBA, represented by Dr. Hawazin Metair, a faculty member in the BAIS department, participated in the Digital Health Hackathon organized by Batterjee College on January 17, 2026.
Dr. Hawazin Metair participated as a speaker in the panel discussion titled AI- and Data-Driven Healthcare, where she highlighted the role of artificial intelligence and data analysis in advancing healthcare.
This participation reflects the active role of CBA’s faculty members and their commitment to academic engagement and knowledge exchange.

First Cohort of SCM Students Complete Odoo Diploma

The Supply Chain Management Department at the College of Business Administration celebrated the success of its first group of students, with 16 students successfully completing the Odoo Student Diploma. Dr. Karim Soliman, Head of the Supply Chain Management Department, congratulated the students and praised their hard work, dedication, and commitment during the program. He also thanked Prof. Noor Al-Maaitah and Dr. Mosab Habani, faculty members in the department, for their strong academic efforts and continuous support, which helped make this achievement possible. He noted that this success shows the department’s focus on improving students’ practical skills and preparing them for the needs of the job market.

University of Business and Technology Participates in World Aviation Day Event at Flyadeal Headquarters.

The University of Business and Technology (UBT) participated in the World Aviation Day event held at Flyadeal Headquarters in Jeddah, organized by Global Shapers – Jeddah Hub in collaboration with Flyadeal, as part of an educational and career-focused initiative aimed at introducing students to professional opportunities within the aviation sector. The visit aimed to provide students with insights into career pathways in the aviation industry, as well as exposure to inspiring professional experiences shared by Flyadeal executives and staff. Students also took part in interactive and discussion sessions covering key areas such as operations, commercial functions, and finance. The event additionally included a guided tour of the company’s headquarters, allowing students to explore the work environment firsthand and gain a deeper understanding of the nature of careers in the aviation sector, contributing to the expansion of their professional perspectives. UBT’s participation in this event reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that empower students, enhance their career awareness, and strengthen their readiness for the labor market through partnerships with leading industry organizations.

University of Business and Technology Hosts the Project Management Championship in Partnership with Beyond Academy

The University of Business and Technology (UBT) hosted the Project Management Championship, organized by Beyond Academy and strategically sponsored by UBT, with the participation of more than 70 students from various universities.
The championship aimed to enhance students’ practical project management skills and equip them with key competencies highly demanded in the job market, including planning, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making. The initiative was designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice, preparing students to meet the evolving needs of today’s labor market.
 
Over the course of the championship, which spanned several days, participants took part in intensive training sessions and competitive project challenges, where they had the opportunity to present their ideas and projects before industry professionals and experts in an interactive learning environment that combined both academic and practical perspectives.
 
The championship concluded with a closing ceremony, during which the results were announced. Team Flow, from the College of Engineering, secured second place, following an outstanding performance that reflected a high level of professionalism and strong teamwork.
 
UBT extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Basmah El-Zein for delivering an inspiring motivational talk to the participants during the championship activities, and to Dr. Bandar Al-Tubaishe for his valuable contribution as a member of the judging panel and his role in evaluating the projects.

The Accounting Department at the College of Business Administration at UBT successfully organized a field trip to Ernst & Young (EY), under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Qutob, the head of the department, and Dr. Eman Attia on December 1. EY is one of the world’s leading Big Four professional services firms. During the visit, the students were provided with first-hand exposure to auditing, zakat and tax, and consultation practices. They had the opportunity to interact with industry professionals and explore potential career opportunities.
The department expressed pride in the students for their outstanding engagement and professional conduct and extended sincere gratitude to EY for their warm hospitality and valuable insights.

University of Business and Technology (UBT) Organizes Joint Workshops with Nestlé Academy to Prepare Soon-to-Graduate Students for the Job Market

The University of Business and Technology, in collaboration with Nestlé Academy, organized a series of training workshops aimed at enhancing students’ professional skills and preparing them for the job market. The workshops were held over two days, with the participation of more than 80 male and female students, and witnessed strong engagement from all attendees. The first day of the workshops included advanced training in communication and presentation skills, with the aim of enabling students to present their ideas confidently and effectively in professional environments. The second day focused on CV writing and interview skills, where students received practical guidance to help them strengthen their professional profiles. This initiative comes as part of the Career Center’s efforts to provide high-quality training programs that enhance students’ readiness and prepare them for a smooth transition into the job market, in collaboration with leading local and international organizations. It also reflects the university’s commitment to its slogan: “Education for Job and Entrepreneurship.”

University of Business and technology Participates in “Year of Handicrafts” in Collaboration with Al-Sulaiman Foundation

In a distinguished community initiative and in line with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s celebration of “The Year of Handicrafts” this year, emphasizing the importance of this cultural heritage in fostering community awareness and promoting the sustainability of traditional crafts, University of Business and technology  hosted the Women’s Committee meeting and artisan interviews as part of the “Craft Market” initiative, in collaboration with Al-Sulaiman Foundation , on Thursday, October 16.
The event featured the participation of thirty female artisans, who proudly showcased their handcrafted works to the judging panel. The panel commended the exceptional artistry and creativity displayed by the participants, underscoring the vital role of supporting and empowering artisans through national initiatives aimed at preserving, promoting, and advancing the Kingdom’s rich craft heritage. Such efforts contribute to sustaining traditional skills, fostering cultural continuity, and highlighting the significance of handicrafts as both a cultural and economic asset.
Ms. Hanan AlSahail, Director of Creative Arts Center at UBT, also participated as a member of the judging panel, praising the initiative’s societal objectives and its role in showcasing handicrafts as an important cultural and economic asset, contributing to achieving national development goals and reflecting the spirit of giving and social responsibility.

BAIS Department Visit to Savola

The Business Analytics & Information Systems (BAIS) Department at the College of Business Administration, UBT, conducted an educational field visit to the IT Division at Savola, supervised by Dr. Nihel Halouani and with the participation of Dr. Fozan Slaghor, as part of the department’s applied learning activities. Students were introduced to the company’s key digital systems and the role of IT in supporting operations and digital transformation. They also engaged in interactive workshops delivered by the IT team and benefited from the insights shared by Mr. Hazim Alahmadi, IT General Manager, regarding essential skills and industry expectations. The Human Resources Department at the College of Business Administration, University of Business and Technology, hosted Mr. Fares Albardisi from Jisr, a leading company in digital HR solutions. The International Day for Tolerance Event at the University of Business and Technology

The Intellectual Awareness Unit at the University of Business and Technology, in collaboration with the College of Engineering and the General Subjects Department at the College of Business Administration across both university branches, the Corniche  and  Abhor campus, organized the celebration of the International Day for Tolerance on Sunday, 16 November 2025. 
The International Day for Tolerance is an annual occasion dedicated to promoting the values of tolerance and respect, and rejecting all forms of intolerance, discrimination, and hatred. It is regarded as a human value that characterizes advanced societies and is essential for building cultural and civilizational understanding that supports development. The aim is to create a cooperative and tolerant environment that strengthens the values of moderation and respect within the educational community and enhances students’ ability to benefit from cultural diversity as a rich source of learning and effective communication. 
Several activities and competitions were organized, including a “Best Quote on Tolerance” competition for female students and staff in the main lobby of the Corniche campus, along with a display of posters featuring key messages about the meaning and purpose of the day. Students and staff across both campuses actively participated, which helped promote openness, a spirit of cooperation, and sustained tolerance between cultures. The event also highlighted one of the Sustainable Development Goals aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

With great pride, a delegation from the College of Business Administration at the University of Business and Technology (UBT) participated in the International Conference on Applied Business and Economic Research, held over two days, November 7–8, 2025, and hosted by the EUROMID Academy of Business and Technology in Istanbul. 
From the Human Resources Department, Dr. Suhad Farsi and Dr. Nadra Tawfig participated, while from the Marketing Department, Dr. Kholod Aggad took part in the session titled: “AI, Leadership, and Data Analytics, Consumer Behavior: Shaping the Future of Business and Education through Innovation.” 
During the conference, they presented distinguished scientific research papers, which will be published in internationally indexed journals. The conference organizers commended the high academic standards and outstanding performance of the representatives from the College of Business Administration, who received great admiration and engagement from attendees. This international participation represents a valuable contribution that enhances the global academic presence of UBT and reaffirms its commitment to promoting research excellence, innovation, and academic distinction.

Industrial Exposure for Marketing Students: Visit to National Biscuit & Confectionery Company, Jeddah

On November 4, 2025, the Marketing Department of the University of Business and Technology’s North Obhur Campus organized an insightful industrial visit to the National Biscuit & Confectionery Company (NBCC) in Jeddah, under the supervision of Professor Mohammad Zulfeequar Alam and Dr. Sharifah Ahmad, to explore the intricate processes involved in producing some of the most beloved brands in the region, including Memories Biscuits, Mamool, Albatal Chips, Albatal Pop Corn, and Tea Biscuits, and a variety of other products.
The visit, coordinated by Dr. Sharifah, began a comprehensive tour of NBCC’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Students witnessed the journey of the products from raw materials to finished goods, gaining valuable insights into production, quality assurance, and packaging practices. A highlight of the tour was an engaging presentation by Mr. Rohail Chouhan, Senior FMCG Marketing & Category Leader, who shared his expertise on the company’s strategic marketing campaigns, brand positioning, and efforts to build and sustain a strong brand image in the competitive FMCG landscape.
Students participated in spirited discussions, asking thoughtful questions that reflected their interest in understanding the practical nuances of marketing campaigns and brand management. The exchange of ideas fostered a deeper appreciation of how marketing theory translates into dynamic business practices.
The NBCC team, including Quality Assurance Mr. Manager Muhammad Ittefaq and Head of Human Resources, Eng. Saad AbuRiyah and Quality Control Manager Gamal Abdullah Fadhel and NBCC staffs played a pivotal role in making the visit productive and memorable. To acknowledge NBCC’s generous support and hospitality, Dr. Sharifah and Professor Zulfeequar presented a certificate along with a special gift from UBT to Mr. Hisham Mardini, the HR Manager.
The industrial visit provided valuable learning experience, giving students practical marketing and business insights while strengthening UBT’s commitment to experiential education and industry collaboration. It effectively prepared students for future careers in a dynamic business environment.

Kafa’a Fellowship – Preparing UBT Students to Become Future Consultants

The Marketing Club at the College of Business Administration, University of Business and Technology, in collaboration with Pure Consulting, launched the Kafa’a Fellowship, a program designed to prepare UBT students to become professional consultants.
The fellowship includes 10 training sessions over two months, covering key topics such as consulting fundamentals, strategic marketing, market research, and financial modeling. It concludes with an intensive five-day boot camp, where students gain hands-on consulting experience through real business cases and client projects alongside professional consultants.
The initiative was led by Alfaisal Alghamdi, President of the Marketing Club, whose collaboration with Pure Consulting made the program possible. The first batch, starting in October 2025, includes 30 students from the Colleges of Business Administration and Engineering.
Dr. Sharifah Ahmad, Head of the Marketing Department, expressed pride in this collaboration, emphasizing its role in giving students practical experience, in line with other projects conducted with companies such as Savola and Goody. The Deanship of Social Responsibility also fully supports the initiative.

The University of Business and Technology Participates in the “Jusoor” Partners Forum

The University of Business and Technology (UBT) participated in the Jusoor Partners Forum, organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). The forum was held at the Diplomat Hotel in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, from October 29–30, 2025, with the participation of leaders and representatives from government, private, academic, and non-profit sectors across the Arab region.
 
The event aimed to strengthen the economic empowerment of Arab youth, expand training and employment opportunities, and foster sustainable partnerships that support development pathways and enhance human capital in the region.
 
UBT was represented by Associate Professor Dr. Ahmed Asfahani, Director of the Ather Case Study Center and Director of the Research, Development, and Innovation Unit. Dr. Asfahani moderated the third session titled:
“Efforts to Empower Youth in the Arab Region: What Are Jusoor’s New Partners Contributing?”
 
The session focused on highlighting the roles and initiatives of Jusoor’s new partners in supporting and preparing youth for the labor market, activating joint training and development programs, and showcasing models of collaboration between the private sector, non-profit organizations, and universities. It also featured success stories in economic and social empowerment.
 
The session brought together several CEOs and Arab experts who shared on-the-ground experiences in developing future skills, supporting entrepreneurship, and expanding training and employment opportunities for youth across various sectors.
 
UBT affirmed that its participation comes as part of its strategic commitment to empowering youth academically and professionally, and to strengthening its engagement in impactful regional initiatives.

The Supply Management Department participates in the Annual Supply Chain and Logistics Summit 2025

The Supply Chain Management Department at the College of Business Administration, University of Business and Technology participated in the 2nd Annual Supply Chain and Logistics Summit (SCLS Saudi Arabia 2025), held at the Sheraton Jeddah Hotel during 15–16 October 2025, and organized by Fortinus Events.
The university was represented by Dr. Karim Soliman, Head of the Supply Chain Management Department, who took part as a speaker in a panel discussion titled “The Future of Warehousing and Smart Facilities.” 
Dr. Soliman was also selected as the Chairperson for the second day of the summit, in recognition of his academic and professional contributions in the supply chain and logistics sector.
During the session, Dr. Karim highlighted the pivotal role of the educational sector in preparing a new generation of national talents capable of leading the logistics industry in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

He also pointed to UBT’s ongoing efforts to enhance its academic programs and integrate the latest knowledge and practical applications in logistics and supply-chain management, ensuring that graduates are equipped with the future skills demanded by both local and global markets.
The event was attended by Dr. Noor, along with several students from the department, who actively engaged in the summit’s sessions and workshops. Their participation provided valuable exposure to the latest trends and technologies in logistics and supply-chain management, while fostering professional networking with leading companies and organizations.

Visit of Michigan State University Delegation to UBT

As part of efforts to strengthen international cooperation and exchange academic, training and research expertise, the University of Business and Technology (UBT), represented by its International Relations Center, received a delegation from Michigan State University (MSU), USA, led by Mr. Clinton Hunt, Director of International Initiatives, Graduate Studies, and Training program at MSU.
During the visit, a discussion session was held to explore ways of developing a cooperation between the two universities in academic, research, and training fields. The delegation also toured UBT’s state-of-the-art facilities, where Mr. Hunt expressed his deep admiration for the university’s modern infrastructure and the advanced technologies used in classrooms, laboratories, and studios.
The UBT delegation included University President Dr. Weam Tunsi; Consultant of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Haneen Shoaib; Vice President Dr. Fahad Aldhaban; President’s Consultant Dr. Hamza Ghulman; Dean of Graduate Studies Prof. Dr. Ayman Zarban; and Consultant of the Training Center Dr. Bandar Al-Tubaishe.

College of Business Administration Students Visit Nahdi Medical Company

As part of the University of Business and Technology (UBT) commitment to enhancing practical learning and connecting academic education with the labor market, the Career Center organized a field visit to Nahdi Medical Company.
The visit aimed to introduce students to the work environment of one of Saudi Arabia’s leading retail companies and to explore best practices in management, marketing, and supply chain operations.  The Nahdi team warmly welcomed the students and presented an overview of the company’s journey, its digital transformation strategy, and its approach to enhancing the customer experience. The visit also included a tour of the company’s facilities and an open discussion with its leadership team.
 Students had the exceptional opportunity to participate in an open discussion with Nahdi Medical Company’s CEO, Mr. Yasser Joharji, which lasted for over an hour. During the session, students raised their questions and presented their suggestions for development. Mr. Joharji commended the students’ knowledge and the quality of UBT’s academic programs, emphasizing their role in preparing highly qualified graduates capable of contributing to the development of the labor market. This visit comes as part of the Career Center’s initiatives to reinforce the university’s motto, “Education for Job Opportunities and Entrepreneurship.”

Professor Haneen Mohammad Shoaib, Consultsnt of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, participated in a panel discussion on "Reimagining Higher Education and Innovation: From Global Impact and Rankings to Industry and Market Integration", she focused on the UBT's success in building trust and influence locally and building reputation and recognition internationally by creating an entrepreneurial environment that encourages the implementation of innovative projects registered globally as patents and funded locally as research models capable of commercialization.

University of Business and Technology Hosts the Project Management Championship in Partnership with Beyond Academy

The University of Business and Technology (UBT) hosted the Project Management Championship, organized by Beyond Academy and strategically sponsored by UBT, with the participation of more than 70 students from various universities.
The championship aimed to enhance students’ practical project management skills and equip them with key competencies highly demanded in the job market, including planning, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making. The initiative was designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice, preparing students to meet the evolving needs of today’s labor market.
 
Over the course of the championship, which spanned several days, participants took part in intensive training sessions and competitive project challenges, where they had the opportunity to present their ideas and projects before industry professionals and experts in an interactive learning environment that combined both academic and practical perspectives.
 
The championship concluded with a closing ceremony, during which the results were announced. Team Flow, from the College of Engineering, secured second place, following an outstanding performance that reflected a high level of professionalism and strong teamwork.

The University of Business and Technology, in collaboration with Nestlé Academy, organized a series of training workshops aimed at enhancing students’ professional skills and preparing them for the job market. The workshops were held over two days, with the participation of more than 80 male and female students, and witnessed strong engagement from all attendees. The first day of the workshops included advanced training in communication and presentation skills, with the aim of enabling students to present their ideas confidently and effectively in professional environments. The second day focused on CV writing and interview skills, where students received practical guidance to help them strengthen their professional profiles. This initiative comes as part of the Career Center’s efforts to provide high-quality training programs that enhance students’ readiness and prepare them for a smooth transition into the job market, in collaboration with leading local and international organizations. In a distinguished community initiative and in line with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s celebration of “The Year of Handicrafts” this year, emphasizing the importance of this cultural heritage in fostering community awareness and promoting the sustainability of traditional crafts, University of Business and technology  hosted the Women’s Committee meeting and artisan interviews as part of the “Craft Market” initiative, in collaboration with Al-Sulaiman Foundation , on Thursday, October 16.
The event featured the participation of thirty female artisans, who proudly showcased their handcrafted works to the judging panel. The panel commended the exceptional artistry and creativity displayed by the participants, underscoring the vital role of supporting and empowering artisans through national initiatives aimed at preserving, promoting, and advancing the Kingdom’s rich craft heritage. Such efforts contribute to sustaining traditional skills, fostering cultural continuity, and highlighting the significance of handicrafts as both a cultural and economic asset.

The Intellectual Awareness Unit at the University of Business and Technology, in collaboration with the College of Engineering and the General Subjects Department at the College of Business Administration across both university branches, the Corniche  and  Abhor campus, organized the celebration of the International Day for Tolerance on Sunday, 16 November 2025. 
The International Day for Tolerance is an annual occasion dedicated to promoting the values of tolerance and respect, and rejecting all forms of intolerance, discrimination, and hatred. It is regarded as a human value that characterizes advanced societies and is essential for building cultural and civilizational understanding that supports development. The aim is to create a cooperative and tolerant environment that strengthens the values of moderation and respect within the educational community and enhances students’ ability to benefit from cultural diversity as a rich source of learning and effective communication. 
Several activities and competitions were organized, including a “Best Quote on Tolerance” competition for female students and staff in the main lobby of the Corniche campus, along with a display of posters featuring key messages about the meaning and purpose of the day. Students and staff across both campuses actively participated, which helped promote openness, a spirit of cooperation, and sustained tolerance between cultures. The event also highlighted one of the Sustainable Development Goals aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

On November 4, 2025, the Marketing Department of the University of Business and Technology’s North Obhur Campus organized an insightful industrial visit to the National Biscuit & Confectionery Company (NBCC) in Jeddah, under the supervision of Professor Mohammad Zulfeequar Alam and Dr. Sharifah Ahmad, to explore the intricate processes involved in producing some of the most beloved brands in the region, including Memories Biscuits, Mamool, Albatal Chips, Albatal Pop Corn, and Tea Biscuits, and a variety of other products.
The visit, coordinated by Dr. Sharifah, began a comprehensive tour of NBCC’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Students witnessed the journey of the products from raw materials to finished goods, gaining valuable insights into production, quality assurance, and packaging practices. A highlight of the tour was an engaging presentation by Mr. Rohail Chouhan, Senior FMCG Marketing & Category Leader, who shared his expertise on the company’s strategic marketing campaigns, brand positioning, and efforts to build and sustain a strong brand image in the competitive FMCG landscape.
Students participated in spirited discussions, asking thoughtful questions that reflected their interest in understanding the practical nuances of marketing campaigns and brand management. The exchange of ideas fostered a deeper appreciation of how marketing theory translates into dynamic business practices.
The NBCC team, including Quality Assurance Mr. Manager Muhammad Ittefaq and Head of Human Resources, Eng. Saad AbuRiyah and Quality Control Manager Gamal Abdullah Fadhel and NBCC staffs played a pivotal role in making the visit productive and memorable. To acknowledge NBCC’s generous support and hospitality, Dr. Sharifah and Professor Zulfeequar presented a certificate along with a special gift from UBT to Mr. Hisham Mardini, the HR Manager.

Kafa’a Fellowship – Preparing UBT Students to Become Future Consultants

The Marketing Club at the College of Business Administration, University of Business and Technology, in collaboration with Pure Consulting, launched the Kafa’a Fellowship, a program designed to prepare UBT students to become professional consultants.
The fellowship includes 10 training sessions over two months, covering key topics such as consulting fundamentals, strategic marketing, market research, and financial modeling. It concludes with an intensive five-day boot camp, where students gain hands-on consulting experience through real business cases and client projects alongside professional consultants.
The initiative was led by Alfaisal Alghamdi, President of the Marketing Club, whose collaboration with Pure Consulting made the program possible. The first batch, starting in October 2025, includes 30 students from the Colleges of Business Administration and Engineering.
Dr. Sharifah Ahmad, Head of the Marketing Department, expressed pride in this collaboration, emphasizing its role in giving students practical experience, in line with other projects conducted with companies such as Savola and Goody. The Deanship of Social Responsibility also fully supports the initiative.

The University of Business and Technology (UBT) participated in the Jusoor Partners Forum, organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). The forum was held at the Diplomat Hotel in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, from October 29–30, 2025, with the participation of leaders and representatives from government, private, academic, and non-profit sectors across the Arab region.
 
The event aimed to strengthen the economic empowerment of Arab youth, expand training and employment opportunities, and foster sustainable partnerships that support development pathways and enhance human capital in the region.
 
UBT was represented by Associate Professor Dr. Ahmed Asfahani, Director of the Ather Case Study Center and Director of the Research, Development, and Innovation Unit. Dr. Asfahani moderated the third session titled:
“Efforts to Empower Youth in the Arab Region: What Are Jusoor’s New Partners Contributing?”
 
The session focused on highlighting the roles and initiatives of Jusoor’s new partners in supporting and preparing youth for the labor market, activating joint training and development programs, and showcasing models of collaboration between the private sector, non-profit organizations, and universities. It also featured success stories in economic and social empowerment.

The Supply Management Department participates in the Annual Supply Chain and Logistics Summit 2025

The Supply Chain Management Department at the College of Business Administration, University of Business and Technology participated in the 2nd Annual Supply Chain and Logistics Summit (SCLS Saudi Arabia 2025), held at the Sheraton Jeddah Hotel during 15–16 October 2025, and organized by Fortinus Events.
The university was represented by Dr. Karim Soliman, Head of the Supply Chain Management Department, who took part as a speaker in a panel discussion titled “The Future of Warehousing and Smart Facilities.” 
Dr. Soliman was also selected as the Chairperson for the second day of the summit, in recognition of his academic and professional contributions in the supply chain and logistics sector.
During the session, Dr. Karim highlighted the pivotal role of the educational sector in preparing a new generation of national talents capable of leading the logistics industry in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

He also pointed to UBT’s ongoing efforts to enhance its academic programs and integrate the latest knowledge and practical applications in logistics and supply-chain management, ensuring that graduates are equipped with the future skills demanded by both local and global markets.
The event was attended by Dr. Noor, along with several students from the department, who actively engaged in the summit’s sessions and workshops. Their participation provided valuable exposure to the latest trends and technologies in logistics and supply-chain management, while fostering professional networking with leading companies and organizations.
This participation reflects the department’s commitment to strengthening UBT’s engagement with the business and industrial sectors, building collaborative channels with major companies and institutions, and creating opportunities for student internships and field training.
It also reinforces future professional and research partnerships with key stakeholders in the logistics and industrial domains.

Visit of Michigan State University Delegation to UBT

As part of efforts to strengthen international cooperation and exchange academic, training and research expertise, the University of Business and Technology (UBT), represented by its International Relations Center, received a delegation from Michigan State University (MSU), USA, led by Mr. Clinton Hunt, Director of International Initiatives, Graduate Studies, and Training program at MSU.
During the visit, a discussion session was held to explore ways of developing a cooperation between the two universities in academic, research, and training fields. The delegation also toured UBT’s state-of-the-art facilities, where Mr. Hunt expressed his deep admiration for the university’s modern infrastructure and the advanced technologies used in classrooms, laboratories, and studios.
The UBT delegation included University President Dr. Weam Tunsi; Consultant of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Haneen Shoaib; Vice President Dr. Fahad Aldhaban; President’s Consultant Dr. Hamza Ghulman; Dean of Graduate Studies Prof. Dr. Ayman Zarban; and Consultant of the Training Center Dr. Bandar Al-Tubaishe.
At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Hunt conveyed his appreciation for the institutional excellence and high academic quality he witnessed at UBT, affirming Michigan State University’s commitment to strengthening ties through joint academic and research projects that contribute to the advancement of education and scientific collaboration between the two institutions.

College of Business Administration Students Visit Nahdi Medical Company

As part of the University of Business and Technology (UBT) commitment to enhancing practical learning and connecting academic education with the labor market, the Career Center organized a field visit to Nahdi Medical Company.
The visit aimed to introduce students to the work environment of one of Saudi Arabia’s leading retail companies and to explore best practices in management, marketing, and supply chain operations.  The Nahdi team warmly welcomed the students and presented an overview of the company’s journey, its digital transformation strategy, and its approach to enhancing the customer experience. The visit also included a tour of the company’s facilities and an open discussion with its leadership team.
 Students had the exceptional opportunity to participate in an open discussion with Nahdi Medical Company’s CEO, Mr. Yasser Joharji, which lasted for over an hour. During the session, students raised their questions and presented their suggestions for development. Mr. Joharji commended the students’ knowledge and the quality of UBT’s academic programs, emphasizing their role in preparing highly qualified graduates capable of contributing to the development of the labor market. This visit comes as part of the Career Center’s initiatives to reinforce the university’s motto, “Education for Job Opportunities and Entrepreneurship.”

UBT in the International Conference on Sustainable Business and Technology

The University of Business and Technology UBT, proudly participates in the International Conference on Sustainable Business and Technology, hosted by the American University in Cairo. Professor Haneen Mohammad Shoaib, Consultsnt of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, participated in a panel discussion on "Reimagining Higher Education and Innovation: From Global Impact and Rankings to Industry and Market Integration", she focused on the UBT's success in building trust and influence locally and building reputation and recognition internationally by creating an entrepreneurial environment that encourages the implementation of innovative projects registered globally as patents and funded locally as research models capable of commercialization.

Also, a number of faculty members participated by their scientific research during the conference sessions, which will be published in indexed international scientific journals.
Dr. Bandar Altubaishi, Consultsnt to the University's Training Center, participated with a research paper titled " IoT-Based Cold Chain Logistics for Sustainable Food Security in Saudi Arabia"

Dr. Ahmed Qutob, Head of Department for Accounting, participated with a research paper titled " The role of blockchain technology in reducing fraud in Saudi firms "

It is worth noting that the University of Business and Technology's participation represents an important addition that enhances the University's presence in international Conferences.

As part of its commitment to strengthening ties with its graduates and reinforcing their sense of belonging, the University of Business and Technology organized an exceptional alumni gathering on August 20, 2025, in Riyadh. The event brought together more than 150 alumni who today hold leadership positions across diverse sectors, embodying the university’s impact in shaping national talents.

The gathering opened with welcoming remarks from Dr. Mohammed Al-Qarni, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Jawad Al-Sulaiman, Dean of Graduate Studies, who both expressed the university’s pride in its graduates’ accomplishments and their pioneering role in serving the nation.
