Intellectual Awareness Unit (IAU)

Welcome to the Intellectual Awareness Unit (IAU) established by Noble Royal Decree No. (27526) dated 21/6/1436 AH.
 One of the university's goals is to provide students, faculty members and staff with the training needs to spread the values of tolerance and patriotism; as young people represent the largest percentage of the population of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and based on the importance of developing their capabilities and investing in them; and the University of Business and Technology's belief in the importance of strengthening national unity and the values of tolerance, enhancing national belonging and promoting the values of loyalty; it is necessary to train students and faculty members on how to encourage dialogue in classrooms.

Our vision is based on three crucial pillars:

The first pillar: is to align with our strategic status as the heart of the Arab and Islamic world and embrace our religious identity which is central to overcoming the greatest challenges faced by society today.  
The second pillar: is to strengthen loyalty to religion, then to the rulers and to strengthen national belonging.
Third: Combating extremism and its ideologies to achieve moderation and build an environment concerned with building the thought of moderation and moderation in the university environment and beyond.
Hence the importance of the Intellectual Awareness Unit, where the objectives will contribute to determining the right path for future young women and men.

Vision

To build a moderate educational community capable of promoting the values of tolerance and moderation through intercultural dialogue, , in order to improve society, reject extremism, and highlight national identity.

MISSION

To graduate responsible, moderate, and loyal individuals, and to prevent all forms of extremist ideologies through events, activities, and programs.

Iau Objectives

• Strengthening loyalty to religion, then to the rulers and strengthening national belonging.
• Spreading the values of moderation, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
• Eradicating extremist ideologies, addressing their effects, and combating terrorism.
• Monitoring intellectual violations, extremist behavior, and negative phenomena in the university, in accordance with the regulations and guidelines determined by the General Secretariat of the University Affairs Council.
• Encouraging scientific research initiatives on intellectual issues and national belonging and highlighting national identity.

Our vision is built upon three main pillars:

First Pillar: Aligning with the strategic position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is considered the heart of the Arab and Islamic world and embracing our religious and national identity, serving as a foundation for overcoming the greatest challenges facing society today.
Second Pillar: Strengthening loyalty to the King and fostering a sense of national belonging.
Third Pillar: Combating extremism and its ideologies to achieve moderation and create an environment that nurtures a mindset of moderation and centrism within the university and beyond.

From this foundation arises the importance of the Intellectual Awareness Unit, whose goals contribute to guiding the youth, both young women and men, toward the right path as future leaders.
